Sports Poll Kids

Building the Next Generation of Sports Fans

New Tween-Focused Service Providing Insight on Fans Aged 8-11

30 Years of Data

For nearly 30 years, the SSRS/Luker on Trends Sports Poll has tracked the sports and free time interests of Americans 12 and older.

Fandom Starts Early

Our research has consistently shown that the strongest fandom begins early.

By the Numbers...

In fact, 69% of AVID sports fans first became interested in sports before they turned 10.

The Partnership

With this in mind, SSRS partnered with KidSay, known for its 20+ year Trend Tracker reporting covering ages 2-15.

This new tween-focused service provides an ongoing understanding of the interests, drivers, and challenges of reaching this diverse and dynamic segment.

Together SSRS and KidSay launched the “Sports Poll Kids” tracker. Sports Poll Kids provides subscribers with intelligence and interactive data tools based on analysis of this age group.

This study is conducted with 1,200 kids ages 8 to 11 during the year, including oversamples of Hispanic and African American kids. Questions are designed to be appropriate for this younger age group.

Both kids and parents provide responses to portions of the survey. The data is weighted to be representative of the US population.

The next generation of fans is very important.
