Jordon Peugh

Chief Business Officer

Jordon loves the moment when a messy problem starts to become a clear research plan. She has built her career around helping clients tackle complex questions, navigate uncertainty, and use research to move forward with confidence. More than two decades in, she still finds the work interesting because no two challenges are ever quite the same.

As Chief Business Officer at SSRS, Jordon leads the SSRS Sales and Client Service teams, directing research development, innovation, and strategy. She manages a matrix of departments to ensure a seamless client experience. Her focus is identifying and preparing for industrywide research trends, managing the financial health of the business, and maintaining responsiveness in a complex environment.

Jordon has conducted social science research for clients across the academic, governmental, nonprofit, and private sectors for more than 20 years. Since joining SSRS in 2013, she has played a central role in the design and execution of major studies and in strengthening the firm’s growth and reputation. Her professional passion is health care and policy research, and she has previously led health policy teams at GfK, Knowledge Networks, and Harris Interactive. Earlier in her career, she conducted research at the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services and the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University.

Jordon holds a master’s degree in Sociology from New York University, where she concentrated in public policy and social movements.

A committed leader in the research profession, Jordon served as President of the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR) in 2025–2026, following earlier service on the Executive Council as Secretary-Treasurer and Communications Chair, as well as on multiple standing and ad hoc committees. She also supports the next generation of researchers by teaching professional development short courses at national and regional conferences.

Outside of work, Jordon is happiest buried in a book, writing letters, or planning her next trip. She lives in Montclair, New Jersey, and enjoys traveling whenever possible with her husband and daughter. A talented seamstress and crafter, she brings a creative perspective to both her professional and personal pursuits.
