Sports Poll Kids

Building the Next Generation of Sports Fans

For more than a decade before the pandemic, we tracked the declining interest in sports among teens. As priorities changed during COVID, we became even more interested in understanding the strength of sports with the youngest kids today.

This new tween-focused service provides an ongoing understanding of the interests, drivers, and challenges of reaching this diverse and dynamic segment.

Our research has consistently shown that the strongest fandom begins early.

  • Together SSRS and KidSay launched the “Sports Poll Kids” tracker. Sports Poll Kids provides subscribers with intelligence and interactive data tools based on analysis of this age group.
  • This study is conducted with 1,200 kids ages 8 to 11 during the year, including oversamples of Hispanic and African American kids. Questions are designed to be appropriate for this younger age group.
  • Both kids and parents provide responses to portions of the survey. The data is weighted to be representative of the US population.

The next generation of fans is very important.
