Rob Farbman

Executive Vice President

Rob Farbman has been in the thick of election nights since 2004, overseeing polling and vote-tabulation operations for the National Election Pool as part of Edison Research (now SSRS). He’s also led media studies that have reshaped how companies like SiriusXM, Amazon, Apple, and Spotify understand their audiences.

His work has carried him well beyond U.S. borders, too. Rob has managed election and media research projects in countries including Venezuela, Iraq, Ukraine, Egypt, Kuwait, Senegal, and the Republic of Georgia. For him, hopping on a plane to somewhere unpredictable isn’t just part of the job — it’s part of the adventure.

He began his career at CBS News before becoming the first employee at a new polling start-up founded by Warren Mitofsky, the “father of exit polls” — sharing a tiny office with a noisy copy machine. These days, when he’s not buried in data or boarding another long-haul flight, Rob finds contentment walking his German Shorthaired Pointer, Gracie.
