Kristen has nearly 30 years of experience in research, having started her journey coordinating National Exit Poll field efforts and data collection for ABC News/Washington Post Polls. She brings her endless curiosity to her work with nonprofit, academic, media, and corporate clients. Kristen has extensive experience working at the intersection of social science and commercial research, designing and delivering research and strategic insights to her clients, often using advanced multivariate analytic techniques. In industries such as state and national level public opinion, non-profit, education, media, and consumer packaged goods, she has cultivated various experimental designs while maintaining the integrity of best practices in sampling and both domestic and global data collection. Of particular note, other highlights of Kristen’s career include overseeing all polling efforts for the Marquette Law School Poll (Wisconsin polling), managing academic research data collection for University of Wisconsin, University of Pennsylvania, University of Texas at Austin, and Cornell University, as well as providing robust data collection and actionable insights for commercial clients such as Coca-Cola, Educational Testing Service, AT&T, and the American Cancer Society.
Kristen earned her MA in Communications Research from the Annenberg School for Communication, University of Pennsylvania and her AB in English and Government from Cornell University.
A longstanding member of AAPOR, Kristen also has served on the ABC News Election Decision Desk team since 1994, specializing in understanding and projecting the composition of the House of Representatives.
Kristen is a musician and singer. She plays keyboard and sings in an 80s MTV Tribute band!
