The overwhelming majority of Arab Americans can envision a brighter future for themselves in the United States, according to a Washington Post-Schar School poll, even as two-thirds say they’re dissatisfied with the country’s direction.
78 percent say they have a good chance of improving their standard of living, compared with 40 percent of Americans overall.
Survey Methodology
The survey used two sampling methods, (1) The SSRS Opinion Panel, an ongoing survey panel recruited by mail through random sampling of U.S. households and (2) a consumer list of likely Arab households maintained from the firm L2, which was contacted by postcard, phone and email. The overall sample was weighted to match Census demographics for adults with Arab ancestry.
