Starting at the age of five, I remember heading to South Philly for 76ers games with my family. We would get there right when the doors opened and sprint to the nearest section for a chance to meet and greet players as they warmed up. This tradition continued for over a decade, and I found myself watching not only the NBA talent, but the staff within the teams. I was especially interested in the staff members who mopped the court when players’ sweat got all over the floor. In middle school, this ultimately became my “dream job” as I did not see any female representation. Although I never had the opportunity to mop the floor after Allen Iverson or Eric Snow, I have had the privilege to work for teams like the 76ers and try to embrace my passion as a sports fan as best as I can.
